I first became hooked on photography as an 11 year old in Grade 6, taking crazy snaps of my friends on the school camera and developing them in the Dark Room. I learnt as much as I could during High School, spending the majority of my lunchtimes in the dark room, destroying my uniform with chemicals! I went on to study Visual Art at University and finished with a major in Photography and Graphic Design.
Although continuing my love of photography as a hobby I went on to become a Secondary Art and Graphics teacher for 7 years in country Victoria. This time gave me the chance to familiarise myself with the world of digital photography, which had replaced the darkroom I once loved, as I taught it to my students.
In conjunction with the arrival of my second child, G for Georgia was developed and I am loving the challenges both businesses throw at me every day....although not loving the lack of time there now seems to be!
