Mathilda's Market - August 21st

I'm so excited! On Sunday 21st August, I will be showcasing G for Georgia at Mathilda's Market. This is a fabulous niche market that offers unique, stylish and affordable baby & kids goods that are lovingly handmade or of limited production. I have pretty much decorated Georgia's entire room with beautiful market purchases! The retailers are handpicked to ensure an exciting product range. It's a kid's shopping heaven. Better yet, most of the retailers do not have a shop front, so you know you'll find something special, not available anywhere else. Please come and say Hi at Mathilda’s Market from 9am to 1pm at the Hawthorn Town Hall, 360 Burwood Rd, Hawthorn. Entry and parking is free. With plenty of stalls, yummy food, kids’ entertainment Mathilda’s Market is one of Melbourne’s best shopping destinations for the little ones. For a sneak preview, have a look at the website (www.mathildasmarket.com.au) and enjoy a browse through the photos of all participants. I look forward to seeing you there!

G for Georgia at Mathilda's Market Melbourne

I'm super busy right now and not just because it's the middle of wedding season... why then? Because on Sunday 27th February, G for Georgia is setting up shop at Mathilda’s Market! Mathilda’s is where you’ll find unique, stylish and exquisite baby and kids’ goods from some of Australia’s most gifted designers and crafters. All products are either lovingly handmade, or manufactured in limited quantities and just too irresistible to refuse! Stallholders are carefully handpicked to bring shoppers the most divine assortment of clothing, accessories, home wares and toys for the little ones. Most stallholders at Mathilda’s Market don’t have bricks and mortar stores, so you’re sure to find something utterly original there. If you’re looking to stylishly dress your children or decorate their home environment, and want an alternative to mass-produced items, you’ll adore this Market! When & where: Sunday 27th February, 9am to 1pm at the Hawthorn Town Hall, 360 Burwood Rd, Hawthorn. Entry and parking is free.

Along with my usual flash cards, magnets and canvases I've been busy extending my range and am working on some gorgeous luggage tags and fun badges.

I hope to see you all there....even if you are from country Victoria, it's well worth the trip in the car to Melbourne for the day out. I know Georgia's room is completly furbished by the clever people at Mathilda's Market....and her wardrobe may be storing a few gorgeous bits and pieces too! I also find lots of the cute little props. I use in my photography at the markets as well...dear me, I think I will need to stay put behind my stall or I will leave with less money than what I arrived with!!

G for Georgia at the Markets.

I excitedly made my market debut a few weekends ago at the wonderful, new, local market, Yellow Gumboots. The market was held in Echuca and was a handmade for children market. There was so many talented people there with such gorgeous products that I had trouble making any money as I wanted to keep spending it as soon as I made it! I was so happy with how my first stall went, with my last minute addition of magnets proving to be a huge success and selling out in an hour! I am now crazily making lots more for my next market on December 18, this time in Bendigo. The Square is again a handmade market but not exclusively for children. The list of retailers looks amazing to say the least and I'm  so excited and humbled that G for Georgia will be amongst them.

I am also featured on this blog today as a sneak peek leading up to the market.

G for Georgia

Well, it seems to have been forever in the making but G for Georgia is finally up and running and open for business. I am so excited to announce that I launched the brand new website on Thursday. So please take some time to take a look at www.gforgeorgia.com.au you may find something special for a little one in your life or a special gift for a friend. The flashcards are a wonderful gift for a new baby and a personalised ABC book or canvas can become a very precious keepsake and something to be cherished for years to come. I know myself only too well the pressure there can be to create a keepsake album for all of your children, however a personalised ABC book from G for Georgia takes all of the hassle away. Simply book in for a photoshoot and let me create your child a gorgeous album full of their images and special things in their life. I truly hope you love the range as much as I have loved creating it, first for my Georgia and now for you. Cheers, Tam xxx

G for Georgia's ABC Book

I just figured out I could display books via my blog page. Yay! So, here it is, Georgia's finished book. She just turned 1 on Tuesday so I finished just in time! This also gives you a great look at what the flash cards will be like. There are only a few changes...Georgia has a pic of herself in here and a US flag as a shout out to her Uncle, Aunt and cousin in America. She also has Iggle Piggle (her fav), her ra-ra and a different set of blocks. These aren't in the flash card set. The cover of the flash card set is also a lighter blue. I really hope you love it as much as I have loved putting it together. Cheers, Tam xxx PS Thanks to my darling daughter for being the reason to do this and for being the inspiration behind G for Georgia. Love you Georgie Girl. xx

Personalised ABC Canvas

I shot little Sam at his Christening / Mum and Dad's wedding and his Mum chose one of the images from that day to be incorporated in to on of my ABC pages. This has been printed on to a canvas and makes a wonderful addition to Sam's room. I just love his dreamy look as he gazes up at the stars....so sweet. ♥

Ok, so I know it doesn't match THIS room as in everything else says Georgia! However, it does show that the canvases will match in well with any rooms existing decor.

Georgia's ABC Book

I've been creating an ABC book to give to my daughter on her first birthday. Thought I'd share a few of my favourite pages. I'm looking into having them made into posters, flash cards and a wall frieze once I'm finished....if I ever GET finished, as I've had quite a bit of interest in it. I just hope my Georgie Girl loves it! Tam xx

ABC

When my son was born I spent the first year of his life illustrating an ABC book to present to him on his first birthday. With my daughter rapidly approaching this milestone I began to panic. I couldn't be that Mum who did everything for the first child and nothing for the second....could I!? I knew illustrations were out of the question...I would never find the time now, so it dawned on me to use all of my beautiful new Photoshop textures and actions to create a photographic ABC book! Yay, I get to make my daughter a beautiful keepsake and play with my new stuff!! Here's my first two pages....a long way to go I know....Tam xx
